Travel Arrangements

 

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

Flights: Please note that travel should be routed through to Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport, Dhaka, Bangladesh (Airport code: DAC) through which most principal Airlines fly into Dhaka.

A Reception Desk will be operated at Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport during the official arrival and departure dates round the clock to assist the foreign delegates and observers. The Reception Desk will display the Conference Logo and the titled “63rd CPC 2017”.

Delegates/ observers will meet reception desk on arrival at Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport (DAC) and assistance will be provided to clear airport formalities. Ground transport regarding the Airport to Hotel transfer will be provided by the Host Branch.

The Host Branch is responsible for transporting foreign delegates and observers to Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport for departures on the official departure date. If your departure details differ from the originally informed schedule, it is advisable to fill in and return departure forms available at the information desks at the hotels and the Conference venue. Duly filled Travel & Accommodation forms must reach the Conference Secretariat on or before the date of deadline. The Conference Secretariat will not be responsible for the transportation and providing assistance at the airport for the delegates who submit the Travel & Accommodation forms AFTER the deadline.

Luggage Tags

To facilitate identification and handling, all participants are required to affix the baggage tags that will be sent to Branches well in advance with the invitation. It is requested that these be prominently displayed on all pieces of baggage for the purpose of easy identification and handling by the officials of the Host Branch.
 
Visas

Appropriate entry visas would be required for the delegates to enter Bangladesh. The Bangladesh High Commissions in all Commonwealth Countries have been appraised of the conference and all concerned Missions have been requested to provide entry visas to the delegates/observers as and when they approach them. Delegates should make visa applications in good time. Visas will also be issued on arrival to Delegates only who could not have access to a Bangladesh High Commission. To arrange visas on arrival, the necessary information will have to be provided to the Conference Cell well ahead in time. Those who wish to avail this facility should contact the conference cell for further instructions.

A letter from the competent Immigration Officer in Bangladesh will be sent to all Branches in due course to facilitate travelling to Bangladesh.

 
Ground Transportation
Transport will be provided by luxury coaches/buses to all official functions during the period of the conference. All delegates will be served on equal basis in their capacity as conference delegates. Delegates are strongly discouraged from using private transport during the conference programme as vehicular access to the conference venue will be restricted to official vehicles only and for security reasons.
